SUBARU is back with a huge comeback in the Copenhagen area! After several years without sales representation in such an important area as Greater Copenhagen and North Zealand, SUBARU returned in 2020 with Rafn-Larsen Automobiler at the helm on Energivej.

Who is Rafn-Larsen?

With the launch of SUBARU and thus the third brand from the land of the rising sun, Rafn-Larsen is now renaming the business to "The Japanese Car House," to clearly communicate that all three brands are genuine Japanese (manufactured in Japan).

SUBARU History

SUBARU became part of the automotive world in 1953 when SUBARU Corporation was founded in Japan. The name "SUBARU" can best be translated into Danish as "to unite." If you’ve heard of star clusters, you might also know the Pleiades, a well-known example of such a star cluster. If not, a star cluster is, in short, a collection of stars.

In Japanese astrology, the Pleiades represents rebirth and strength, and "SUBARU" is the Japanese name for the Pleiades.

The stars in the logo represent "the six shining units." The five smaller stars are the five companies that together form the large, sixth star— which was once Fuji Heavy Industries and today goes by the name SUBARU Corporation.

The very first SUBARU hit the roads in 1958 and was named "SUBARU 360." The unique SUBARU Boxer engine debuted in 1966, and symmetrical all-wheel drive came in 1972.

Today, SUBARU is the world's largest producer of all-wheel-drive vehicles, with 1 million all-wheel-drive cars sold every year.

For SUBARU, the main focus is high safety, with the goal of building the world's safest cars. SUBARU offers four fantastic, safe, and all-wheel-drive cars: Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and Solterra. All models have a high level of safety and equipment.

A SUBARU is recognized for its all-wheel drive. This primarily contributes to its high safety, but it also provides maximum towing capacity, off-road capabilities, and much more.

So, which model should you choose when all four have the same high safety level?

In short, your choice is about which model YOU feel most comfortable in and what need it will fulfill in your daily life.

Choose a SUBARU - Don’t skimp on safety and comfort! SUBARU always comes with plenty of standard equipment, which should be remembered when comparing prices with other cars. SUBARU is actually highly competitive compared to other car brands' models.

SUBARU sells 1 million all-wheel-drive cars every year

The world leader in all-wheel-drive. All-wheel drive has been a hallmark of SUBARU since 1972. Subaru's unique "Active Torque Split" system means that you can rely on grip from just one wheel when you're stuck and need to get free.

SUBARU, with its all-wheel drive, is not only a superior towing vehicle but has also become a favorite among horse owners, boaters, campers, and many others. But all-wheel drive is much more than just that, and therefore relevant for exactly you – you might wonder why?

Fundamentally, driving also involves comfort and safety. If you trust your car, you drive more relaxed and securely – and with that, you drive better. You’ll feel more at ease knowing that your Subaru drives exactly how you steer it, even in slippery conditions. You get much stronger traction, so you can avoid skidding.

This increases your safety because your SUBARU is so predictable.
Safety and security are key words for a SUBARU.

The SUBARU Forester has the highest safety score ever recorded for a tested car.

97% of all sold SUBARUs are still on the road after 10 years.

You read that correctly! What does that tell us about our cars?

Customer Satisfaction

  • Why change if you’re happy? We hear that often – and it's one of the reasons why our customers keep their cars for many years.
… But what if you'd like to change cars a little more often? SUBARU generally holds high resale values, which is a great starting point to agree on a good trade-in price. For example, the SUBARU XV has been awarded "highest resale value" in its class for five years in a row (2017-2021)!

When you buy a new SUBARU, you get a 3-year/100,000 km factory warranty, depending on which comes first. Additionally, there's a 12-year rust warranty against perforation.

Value for Money!

We love to highlight the Japanese high equipment levels, because this is where we differ from many other brands.

When you take a closer look at our price lists and brochures, notice what’s included in the price!

Safety and comfort equipment are plentiful – even from the "base" models! We don’t know the term "stripped-down models."
